The tutorial is organized by four user tiers: each chapter opens with what this tier can do, then the core workflow steps. Not sure which tier is yours? Read the first line of each card.
You in this tier: you occasionally send large files — WeChat can't handle them, cloud drives throttle you, and you don't want to pay or sign up for a pile of services. You can use: LAN direct transfer (free for guests up to 2 GB per file), four-step sending, and transfer history — for everyday documents, photos, and movies, free is enough.
1.1 Before you start: WringCloud's two transfer modes
The system switches modes automatically — you never have to choose. It prefers direct transfer (faster and safer, files travel point-to-point); only when the two sides are not on the same network does it fall back to the encrypted secure relay.

Note: neither side may close the page during a transfer — any closure interrupts it, and direct transfer does not support resumption, so you would have to start over.
About transfer speed: the theoretical ceiling of LAN direct transfer is set by the slower of the two sides' local network equipment. Mind the unit conversion too (100 Mbps ≈ 12.5 MB/s, gigabit ≈ 125 MB/s, 2.5G/10G higher). Real speed is also affected by Wi-Fi, cable grade, and disk read/write speed; wired + gigabit Ethernet + SSD gets closest to full speed.

Speed depends on both sides' public bandwidth. Recipients can re-download in full during the retention window (each download deducts download credits from the sender based on file size; the recipient pays nothing). Files sent via secure relay are also listed under My Account → Transfer History, where you can download them again anytime before expiry — no need to ask the other side to resend.
About transfer speed: cross-network secure relay speed is mainly capped by your local bandwidth. Theoretically, a 100 Mbps line tops out around 12.5 MB/s and a 1000 Mbps (gigabit) line around 125 MB/s. Real throughput is further affected by Wi-Fi signal, upload bandwidth, and proxy/VPN software (e.g., Sangfor aTrust), so hitting the theoretical maximum is rare. If transfers feel slow, disconnect your proxy/VPN or switch to wired, then retry.
Can't remember all this? No need: the system decides for you — direct transfer on the same network, encrypted relay across networks. Nothing to select manually.

Transfer settings tip: when starting a transfer from the home page, use the 'Downloads' option in transfer settings to choose how many times this transfer can be received (1/3/5/10 times; 500 times for registered users only; unlimited for plan members).
1.3 How does the recipient receive it?
Just click the link — nothing to prepare
The recipient opens the link; the receive page loads in their browser and saving starts only after they confirm, with an integrity check when the transfer completes. Sender on a computer, recipient on a phone, Windows to Android, iPad to PC — any combination works. The link is valid for 24 hours. Neither page may be closed during direct transfer — if either side closes, the transfer stops (secure relay supports offline receiving and chunked resumable transfer, so network hiccups are no problem, but a closed sender page still means restarting). Files sent via secure relay are kept under My Account → Transfer History and can be downloaded again anytime before they expire.

2.1 Core workflow: project delivery in five steps
For long-term, formal delivery to clients, use project delivery: files kept permanently, configurable links, credits only spent when clients download. Uploading is free, and files stay in your library forever.

Set up a workspace
Subscribe to any plan (or start the 7-day free trial), then open My Account → Workspace. Library storage is shared with project space.

Create a project
One project per client or engagement (e.g., 'Brand X logo proposal') — deliverables never mix.

Upload files
Upload finished work from the project page; organize with folders. After revisions, pick Upload new version under the file's 'Manage ▾' menu to extend the version chain (V1/V2/V3…) automatically.

Generate a delivery link
Set an access password, expiry, and download limit, and attach a delivery note if you like. Links can be disabled/re-enabled and reconfigured anytime.
Why it's designed this way: uploading is free and only downloads are billed (1 credit = 1 GB) — your cost only happens when the client actually gets the file. Your credits are deducted; the client pays nothing and needs no account; every download notifies you in real time.
2.2 My Library: permanent archive of your deliverables
Your 'personal safe' — immune to the 7-day purge
Offline relay files are kept for only 7 days. To keep important deliverables forever: click 'Add to Library' in Transfer History and the file moves into My Library (50 GB on the Personal plan), with folder support and downloads anytime. My Library is your personal asset area — use it for your own storage; for client delivery and team collaboration, use workspace projects (both draw from the same capacity pool). After a plan expires, files are retained but downloads pause until you renew.
2.3 Collection links: let others send files to you
Generate a collection link under Collection Management and share it; anyone who opens it can send files to you without signing up for WringCloud. Incoming files land in the staging area first; only when you confirm acceptance do they enter your library and count against storage — junk from strangers never occupies space unless you accept it.
How to create one: My Account → 'Collection Management' → generate a collection link (can be bound to a project) → copy and share. You'll get a notification in the message center when uploads finish; just accept them from the staging area. Great for: collecting client submissions, gathering assets, student assignments, and event entries.
Studio plan: bring the team inStudio plan ¥599/year
You in this tier: a 2-10 person studio (design, film, advertising…), everyone owning their slice — worst fears are unfinished work reaching a client or a departing member walking off with a project. Over the Personal plan: 150 GB library, 10 sub-accounts, role separation, review-before-delivery flow, review audit trail, and offboarding handover. Billing goes to the workspace owner; members' personal transfers still deduct their own credits.

3.1 Core workflow: move the team into the workspace

3.2 Review-before-delivery: stop unfinished work at the source
With 'Review Before Delivery' on, member uploads sit in a pending state. Owners approve / reject (with a reason) / mark as deliverable on the project page; every action is written to the review log, append-only and tamper-proof. Only approved files can be attached to delivery links — every revision is on record, so no version chaos and no accidental delivery.
3.3 Offboarding handover and audit trail
One-click handover when a member leaves: their upload tasks and file ownership transfer to a designated member so projects never stall. The member is removed right after the handover, with a full audit trail; their personal account and files in their personal library are untouched.
Version management tip: in a project's file list, click 'Manage ▾ → Upload new version' and the new draft attaches to that file's version chain (V1/V2/V3…) automatically. The list shows only the latest version; click the version badge to see each draft's size, uploader, change notes, and review status. Uploading a file with the same name directly into a folder is treated as a new file and won't join the chain. Renaming and moving apply to the whole version group; deletion needs a second confirmation and also removes the cloud file — delete the latest version and the previous one automatically becomes current. For single-file delivery you can choose which version to deliver (latest by default); whole-project delivery always takes each file's latest version.
Team plan: accountable, on the recordTeam plan ¥1,299/year
You in this tier: formal organizations (finance, government, healthcare, manufacturing… with audit-trail and compliance requirements) — many people, many projects, and when something goes wrong you need to know who. Over the Studio plan: 400 GB library, 50 sub-accounts, audit logs, and usage analytics attributed by project/member with CSV export.
Inviting/removing members, role changes, and workspace setting changes are all logged — who did what and when is always traceable, meeting compliance and accountability needs. The Studio plan includes review and audit-trail export; the Team plan covers more audit dimensions.
Usage analytics: storage and credits by project/member
Storage usage and credit consumption are attributed by project and by member, exportable as CSV for reconciliation — which project eats the most space and who downloads the most, at a glance.
50-person collaboration + 400 GB library
Sub-accounts scale to 50 and the library to 400 GB (shared with project space). Member management and the review-delivery flow work the same as on the Studio plan — see Chapter 3.

Q1: What's the difference between My Library and the workspace?
In one line: My Library is your 'personal safe'; the workspace is the 'team studio'. My Library is your personal file asset area for long-term archiving — offline files added via 'Add to Library' in Transfer History and your own uploads live here, kept permanently with no 7-day purge. The workspace is the multi-user container for project-based delivery — files organized by project, delivery links, members in roles, and review audit trails. Q2: Can I really use it without signing up or logging in?
Yes. Open the page and start sending — LAN direct transfer is completely free up to 2 GB per file. An account matters for three things: raising the free limit to 10 GB (unlimited direct transfer on plans), claiming the 2 sign-up credits (1 credit = 1 GB of download traffic, never expires), and the 2-credits-each friend referral.
Q3: How do I know if the other side and I are on the 'same LAN'?
Simplest test: same Wi-Fi, or plugged into the same router/switch, means the same LAN. Honestly, you don't even need to check — the system detects it automatically: direct transfer when it works, automatic fallback to secure relay when it doesn't. To verify, send a few-MB test file: speeds in the tens of MB/s mean direct transfer.
Q4: The transfer dropped halfway — do I have to start over?
It depends: secure relay (cross-network) supports chunked resumable transfer — after a network hiccup and reconnect it continues from where it stopped, no full restart; recipients can also re-download in full within the retention window. Note that the upload session ends when the sender closes the page and must be restarted. Direct transfer (LAN) has no resume concept — an interruption means starting over. So for large transfers, keep both pages open.
Q5: I'm on a Windows PC and the other side uses an iPhone — does that work?
Yes. WringCloud is a web tool and platform-agnostic — Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, iPad: if a browser can open the page, you can send and receive.
Q6: Are my files safe? Could they sit on a server where others can see them?
In LAN direct transfer mode, files travel point-to-point and never pass through a server. Cross-network secure relay is encrypted in transit, stored only after the recipient confirms, leaves nothing behind after expiry, and includes integrity verification.
Q7: The other side is offline right now — can I send the file anyway?
LAN direct transfer can't — it requires both sides online with pages open; if either goes offline or closes the page, the transfer stops and cannot resume. Cross-network secure relay can: it supports offline transfer (the recipient collects when back online; files kept for 7 days) and chunked resumable transfer (network hiccups don't restart it); cross-network relay requires download credits (plan credits or credit packs both work), but closing the sender's page still ends the upload session.
Q8: How much do the plans cost? Are they worth it?
